As Admiral Stavridis has said, “Humans striving to be tireless are no longer enough” and artificial intelligence (AI) offers transformational capabilities in unmanned/robotic systems and decision aids designed to augment, improve and speed human decision-making. Navy industry partners see AI as an evolving technology that will progressively integrate into more ship systems, command and control, and weapons over time as processing speeds increase and new algorithms increase their reliability. Dataiku, the global leader AI Business Exploration and Augmented Data Science, believes this will be a watershed year for AI adoption across the Navy.

Why 2023 will be the year of largescale Artificial Intelligence adoption?

Enjoy watching April Tech Talk as we are rebroadcasted our “Best of AFCEA San Diego Tech Talks” a special encore presentation of an interview last year with Mr. Jim Rodman, Chairman and Founder of XSITE by Ms. Jara Tripiano, Director of Systems Engineering and Integration at NIWC-PAC discussing the importance of DevSecOps, Model Based Systems Engineering, and Modeling & Simulation in the digital space.

A Special Encore Presentation! Tech Talk: Jara Tripiano and Jim Rodman

Please enjoy watching May Tech Talk with our guest speakers Ms. Jen Arnold, Professional Visualization Executive, OMNIVERSE | METAVERSE | Digital Twins & AI Industries and Mr. Tim Woodward, Sr. Solutions Architect | Federal Pro Viz | Real-time Graphics | Metaverse | AI/ML/DL at NVIDIA discussing the importance of modern digital future of Universal Scene Description (USD) in Teams.

As a core contributor to open source across many applications such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics, NVIDIA is investing in the future of Universal Scene Description (USD) along with its ecosystem of partners. This will help USD evolve to make the ecosystem more powerful and ensure the metaverse won’t be built by one organization or company.

The modern, digital future is here. Our DoD and Navy must have industry partners and access to innovation today to protect our Nation. NVIDIA plays a critical role in the digital transformation. To accelerate USD’s evolution to be performant for use cases beyond visual effects (VFX), NVIDIA continues to test the limits of the USD ecosystem through industrial, robotics, and AI applications. Professional Visualization Executive and Sr. Solutions Architect for NVIDIA took us through the Metaverse and shared how they are contributing to the AI and Digital Twin industries through innovative solutions, such as NVIDIA’s Omniverse.

Tech Talk August 2023 with Justin Wilkins

Applying DOD Security Principles to Generative AI

“Don't believe everything you read on the internet" is a common saying, and yet in low stakes situations we've come to trust a quick web search or even an interaction with ChatGPT. It knows so much about the world! Using generative AI for mission critical knowledge retrieval has an all new set of challenges. In this talk you'll learn concepts and considerations for AI in the terminology DOD Information security.

We'll cover:

What is a Large Language Model?
How private is a private LLM?
Security concerns of Training vs. Prompting
Fighting Hallucinations
Poisoned LLMs and continuous validation

Tech Talk in September 2023 with Eddie Storm

This presentation addresses three primary methods for geolocating RF signals, including Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA), Power of Arrival (PoA), and Angle of Arrival (AoA). It describes how each technique works, illustrates the unique advantages and disadvantages of each method, and identifies which techniques are best for different types of signals. It also examines new methodologies, including synthetic bearings for airborne targets, and how to understand the elevation of targets over vast areas.

Geolocating RF Signals

When a Systems Integrator qualifies a large opportunity that requires a technology solution, questions arise:

1) How do we go to market with a software vendor?
2) What does our offer look like?
3) Are we meeting customer understanding/expectation?
4) Do we have the staff to sustain and do we have the experience to implement?
5) How does it fit into our existing offerings and capabilities?
6) What is the impact to the total evaluated price?
7) What is the proper course of action from customer engagement to compelling technology solution?

Tech Talk April 2024

Arganteal’s Adaptive Deployment Tool (ADepT) provides a single platform for deploying any technology. Our versatile tool streamlines and standardizes deployments, supporting full-stack deployments in any scripting language while remaining adaptable to any target or platform.

Manual scripting remains a formidable obstacle to rapid, repeatable deployments. This labor-intensive approach is time-consuming and prone to errors, and while other automation platforms can be effective in their niches, they can hinder collaboration by failing to seamlessly integrate with others. This results in an annual expenditure of over 100 million hours on manual scripting, and a profusion of non-standardized and non-reusable scripts.

* **Lack of Standardization**: Frequent script rewrites prevent consistent automation solutions.
* **Intellectual Property Leakage:** Scripts are not effectively captured by organizations.
* **Time Costs:** The need for manual script editing causes delays and inefficiency.

Arganteal ADepT elevates automation capabilities by integrating legacy tools and scripting
languages into a highly adaptable framework. This not only eliminates the hurdles associated with manual scripting but empowers organizations to streamline and standardize deployment
processes while preserving and leveraging valuable script Intellectual Property (IP).

**‘Golden Copy' Workflows:** Create standardized deployment processes that serve as the gold standard for your organization.
* **IP Reusability:** Make valuable intellectual property reusable across teams and projects.
* **Centralized Interface:** Reduce friction between teams handling large-scale deployments by centralizing scripts in a unified interface.
* **Multi-Language Workflows:** Develop versatile workflows that can automate complex deployments, accommodating various languages and tools.
