I attended Central Washington University for undergrad, and Washington State University for grad school, with a doctoral project in underwater acoustics. After graduating, I returned to CWU to teach, and completed a project with the ESCALA program on building high-context, high-involvement activities with student in an online classroom, so when we switched to virtual education, I was already prepared. The last few years, I have taught Physics and Astronomy at Walla Walla Community College and Green River College, where I love to weave all my knowledge about history, popular culture, and random facts into lecture.

My outside interests include scientific skepticism, baseball, and trivia, and I'm currently in the contestant pool for Jeopardy!
