SHORT BIO
Joel Moniz is currently a senior Machine Learning Engineer at Siri in Apple, where he works on improving Siri ability to understand natural language and conversation. Prior to that, he completed his MS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, before which he completed his undergraduate thesis at the Montreal Institute of Learning Algorithms (MILA), and his B. E. (Hons.) in Computer Science from BITS Pilani, Pilani. Passionate about research, his areas of interest include Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
