Vivek Subramanian is an Applied Scientist at Amazon and was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the time this research was conducted. He holds a BSE in Biomedical/Electrical and Computer Engineering, an MS in Statistical Science, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering all from Duke University. His NLP research interests span the areas of low resource machine translation, numeracy, interpretable document classification, and, most recently, conversational AI and dialog systems. In his free time, Vivek enjoys traveling, swimming, and playing the piano.
