SHORT BIO
Ethan A. Chi is a MS candidate at Stanford University working on problems ranging from efficient ASR (to appear, NAACL'21) to pretrained model analysis and interpretability (ACL'20, EACL'21) to real-world conversational dialogue. His research interests include model understanding, linguistic analysis, and efficient language modelling. Currently, he's leading Stanford NLP's Alexa Prize 4 team, a research group competing to build a fluent, empathetic socialbot in a real-life setting. Outside of NLP, Ethan enjoys lecturing a C++ course at Stanford and playing in the Stanford Symphony as a violinist.
