SHORT BIO
Dr. Saurya Das did his B.Sc. from Presidency University, Kolkata, M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, India. Following this, he did postdoctoral fellowships at the Penn State University, USA and the Universities of Winnipeg and New Brunswick, Canada, following which he joined the University of Lethbridge as a faculty member in 2003, where he is now a Full Professor. His research areas are classical and quantum gravity, cosmology and quantum information theory, in which Dr. Das has published more than 100 research papers. He is an Affiliate Member of the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics.
