SHORT BIO
Neda –Hesam Mahmoudi Nezhad was born in Shiraz, Iran, in 1978. She got graduated from high school in Physics and Mathematics, from the high school of “National Organization for Developing Exceptional Talents”, Farzanegan, in Shiraz, Iran, on 1996. She earned her bachelor in Physics from Shiraz University in Iran (1996-2001), followed by getting her master degree in Photonics from LAPRI (Laser and Plasma Research Institute) in Tehran, Iran (2002-2005). She perused her education by performing a second master at TU Delft in the Netherlands, in Optics group (2011-2014). The master thesis project for this master program was on “Optical System Optimization Using Genetic Algorithms”. Afterwards she was for one year guest researcher, working on the project of “Optimization of Electron Lens System using Genetic Algorithms”, in the group of CPO (Charged Particle Optics) at TU Delft (2016-2017). From 2017 till now, she is performing a PhD, working on the field of “Electron Electrostatic Lens Design Optimization” at the CPO group (now called MINT (Microscopy Instrumentation Technology)) at TU Delft.
