My field of expertise is CFD applied to multiphase flows, particularly in granular-fluid flows and by means of Euler-Euler techniques. All my developments are being done on the OpenFOAM platform, studying the performance of different phenomenological models in fluidized bed applications. Moreover, I'm working on developing and improving coupling methods for multiphase flows under the scope of the segregated algorithms in terms of stability and convergence rate. I'm also interested in the applications of computational tools to lab-scale and industrial-scale problems regarding granular flows, such as fluidized beds reactors, rotating mixers, among others.
