SHORT BIO
Sviatlana earned her PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Luxembourg in 2016.
Based on her qualification as a computer scientist, Sviatlana has 11 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence and Dialogue Systems as a member of research staff at the Goethe-University (Frankfurt am Main, Germany), Julius-Maximilian University (Würzburg, Germany), Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (Luxembourg) and University of Luxembourg (currently).
Due to her human-centered view on innovation, she chose a sociocultural approach to dialogue systems development and invented components for dialogue systems grounded in Conversation Analysis.
Currently she works on detection of linguistic bias in political news (Funded by FNR Luxembourg). She is also coordinating the research network 'Langauge in the Human-Machine Era' funded by EU Cooperation in Science and Technology Agency.
