SHORT BIO
Reut Tsarfaty is Associate Professor at Bar-llan University and a Visiting Professor at Google. She has also formerly been a research scientist at AI2. Reut holds a BSc. from the Technion and MSc./PhD. from the Institute for Logic Language and Computation (ILLC) at the University of Amsterdam, and she held two postdoctoral fellowships, at Uppsala University in Sweden and at the Weizmann Institute in Israel. Her research focuses on natural language parsing and natural language understanding, broadly interpreted to cover morphological, syntactic, semantic and pragmatic phenomena, in typologically different languages. Applications she has worked on include (but are not limited to) natural language programming, natural language navigation, automated essay scoring, analysis and generation of social media content, and more. Reut's research is funded by an ERC grant (#677352), an ISF grant (#1739/26), a MOST grant (#3-17992), and a Google Faculty Research Award.
