SHORT BIO

Dr Solveig Felton is a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Nanostructured Media in the School of Mathematics and Physics at Queen's University Belfast. She got her PhD in Solid State Physics from Uppsala University in 2005, and then did a postdoc from 2006 to 2009 at University of Warwick in the EPR and Diamond Group of the Department of Physics. This was followed by a postdoc in the Department of Materials of Imperial College London from 2009 to 2011 and a temporary lectureship at the same department from 2011 to 2013, before she moved to Queen's University Belfast. Her interests are broadly of magnetic materials, and how to tune these through chemical or physical means, with a special interest in microstructured ferromagnetic films and single molecule magnets.
