SHORT BIO
Dr. Wallace "Ed" Lawson is a computer scientist at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. Dr. Lawson received his PhD in computer science from George Mason University in 2011, studying human motion analysis applied to biometric recognition. He has authored over 50 publications on topics from machine learning, biometrics, automated surveillance, object detection, and human-robot interaction. A former Karles fellow, Dr. Lawson has been at Naval Research Lab since 2004.
