SHORT BIO
Dr. O’Malley is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the Naval Postgraduate School. Serving in the Navy, he was both a Surface Warfare Officer and Naval Flight Officer, accruing more than 1,100 flight hours in F-14D Tomcats. Following his military career, O’Malley joined NIWC PAC, where he has been involved in developing large-scale, high-profile DoN IT acquisition strategies and development projects. He received his Ph.D. in Organization & Management from Capella University in 2010. He is currently an APM for PMW 250, leading the NAVY 311 program for PEO Digital and bringing machine learning to military customer support. He has been published in leading defense journals, including U.S. Naval Institute Proceedings, and presented at forums such as NIWC PAC Tech Talks, NR&DE Data Science and Analytics Workshop, and the Innovative Applications of Artificial Intelligence conference.
