SHORT BIO
Ken Shepard received his BSE degree from Princeton University and MS and Ph. D. from Stanford University. From 1992-1997, he was a Research Staff manager and manager at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, where he was responsible for the design methodology for IBM's G4 S/390 microprocessors. He was the Chief Technology Office of CadMOS Design Design, San Jose, CA until its acquisition by Cadence Design Systems in 2001. Since 1997, he has been with Columbia University, where his is currently the Lau Family Professor of Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering and the co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Ferric, Inc. and Quicksilver Biosciences, Inc., which are commercializing technologies developed in his laboratory. Current research intersts include CMOS bioelectronics and power electronics.
