SHORT BIO
Nicoletta Noceti is assistant professor in Computer Science at the University of Genova and a founding member of MaLGa (Machine Learning Genoa) center. She received the Laurea cum laude (2006) and the PhD in Computer Science (2010) from the University of Genova. Her research covers the interplay between Computer Vision and Machine Learning, with particular attention to motion understanding problems. She authored more than 60 peer-reviewed papers on international conferences and top-quality journals, and she participated to various national and international research projects, and technology transfer and development projects with SMEs and large companies. She organized international workshops on motion understanding themes, and she has been guest editor for the IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems, and co-editor of the Springer book “Modelling human motion: from human perception to robot design”.
