SHORT BIO
Silvia Cascianelli received the M.Sc. degree in Information and Automation Engineering and the Ph.D. degree cum laude in Information and Industrial Engineering from the University of Perugia, Perugia, Italy, in 2015 and 2019, respectively. She is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Engineering "Enzo Ferrari", University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. She was a Visitor Researcher at the Queen Mary University of London between 2017 and 2018. She has authored or coauthored more than 30 publications in scientific journals and international conference proceedings. Her research interests include embodied AI, handwritten text recognition, and image captioning. She regularly serves as a reviewer for international conferences and journals.
