SHORT BIO

As an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Physics I typically teach several large enrollment foundational courses to both STEM and non-STEM majors. Beyond the classroom I contribute to several efforts to support the teaching and learning of physics, including running a bi-weekly Physics Education Forum that is open to faculty and students. As time permits I continue to pursue physics education research with collaborators. Recently, this has focused on how student participation in informal programs promotes the development of their science identity, sense of belonging, and career skill development.
