SHORT BIO

Xueyang Wang is currently a 5th year Ph.D candidate at UCSD under supervision of Prof. Vitaliy Lomakin. He obtained his Bachelor degree at Tsinghua University during 2015 and Master degree at UCSD during 2017, both under ECE department. He has contributed more than 60,000 lines of highly optimized GPU code to fast micromagnetic simulator 'Fastmag' and also worked on numerical methods design for Two Spin Channel Model, a model that describe diffusion of polarized electrons at both bulk and interface including spin transfer torque and spin hall effect in both ferromagnetic material and heavy metals, also he worked modeling of Eddy current in magnetic materials. He is currently interested in fast micromagnetic simulation algorithm design, modeling of spintronic effects and high performance computing.
