SHORT BIO
Tyler received his bachelors in materials science and engineering from the University of Michigan. While an undergrad, he performed research on chalcogenide thermoelectric materials as well as molecular dynamics and machine learning of glass-based materials. Currently, he is a 2nd year PhD student at Iowa State University being advised by Professor Vitalij Pecharsky. Fueled by the thrill of discovery, he performs basic science research on rare earth based materials, characterizing their structure-property interplay. Other interests of his include accelerated materials discovery, which he hopes to apply to his work in the near future.
