SHORT BIO
Born in Bytom, Poland and living in Dublin, Ireland since 2004. B.A. in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College Dublin. Now in progress of the PhD in Physics (Magnetism and Spintronics) under the supervision of Prof. Michael Coey and Dr. Karsten Rode at Trinity College Dublin. My thesis is on the deveopment and charaterisation of zero-moment half metals (due in December 2020). Apart from magnetism and spintronics, I have also worked on surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy using silver nanoparticles and numerical simulations & theory of step bunching on vicincal surfaces. In my MMM2020 10-minute talk (E1-02) I am discussing the XMCD measurements on the zero-moment half-metal Mn2RuxGa. The talk is a good representation of the kind of work I have been involved in for the past 4 years. Now that I am almost finished my PhD in Dublin, I will soon be looking for new scientific projects to pursue.
