SHORT BIO
Dr. Pankaj Mohanty is currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics, University of Johannesburg, (Aucklandpark Campus), South Africa. Dr Mohanty is associated with Cr Research Group of the Department of Physics. Dr. Mohanty worked a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow for three years in the same department prior to his joining as lecturer. Dr Mohanty got his PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi, India. Dr. Mohanty has 20 international publications to his credit having total citations of 447 with h-index: 10 (Source: Google Scholar 07/10/2020). His present research work primarily focuses on the structural and magnetic properties of Cr-based oxide nanomaterials. Dr. Mohanty has expertise in synthesizing nanoparticles using chemical techniques such as sol-gel, co-precipitation and hydrothermal techniques. Dr. Mohanty has also worked on thin films grown by pulsed laser deposition (PLD), e-beam evaporation and thermal evaporation techniques and ion irradiation. He is a life member of Indian Physics Association and South African Institute of Physics as a Professional Physicist. Dr. Mohanty has received several scholarships during his education and received awards for some of his oral and poster presentations at various conferences.
