SHORT BIO
I'm Ale (Alejandro Leon, aleleon.cl), from Chile. My main interests are spin-orbit-coupled systems, rare-earth-based spintronics, and nonlinear magnetization dynamics.
I studied my Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Chile in the topic of Magnetization dynamics driven by spin-transfer torques. Later I was a Tohoku University postdoc supervised by GEW Bauer and worked on spin-orbit interactions in spintronic systems. After two short researcher positions in chile, I'm an assistant professor at the Metropolitan University of Technology (UTEM, Chile), where I continue my work on spin-based phenomena in both the micro and macroscopic scales.
