SHORT BIO
Verena is a full Professor at the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences (MACS) at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. She is director of the HWU NLP lab and also a co-founder of ALANA AI. Her main research is on Spoken Dialogue Systems and interactive Natural Language Generation.
