SHORT BIO

"Ruben Branco is a PhD Student in Informatics at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. His doctoral research focuses on using deep learning techniques to improve the prognosis of neurodegenerative diseases.

His bachelor’s research mainly focused on distributional semantics, especially on learning vectorial representations of ontologies. In his master’s thesis research, he researched the impact of shortcut learning on the deep learning of commonsense reasoning using Transformer architectures. He has published 13 co-authored papers during his bachelors and masters research and participated in 2 research projects."
