SHORT BIO
Willem Halffman is senior lecturer in Science & Technology Studies at Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He has studied the processes of co-construction of science and policy, including the long-term mutual influences that shape regulatory institutions in domains such as environmental hazards of chemicals, nature conservation, regional planning, and fisheries. A newer research interest is research integrity, with empirical research on text recycling, the changing discourse of research integrity, changes in peer review, or problematic publications concerning misidentified research materials. As a social scientists, he works in close cooperation with natural scientists to understand and hopefully also improve research and publication practices.
