"431art - Haike Rausch and Torsten Grosch is a german artist duo.

Torsten Grosch began as a freelance photographer, studied film and television design in Mainz, curated a 6-part video art forum in 1986 (with Michael Saup and Bob O‘Kane among others), worked as a freelance sound and camera man and as a freelance creative director of a film and television production. Haike Rausch began as a draftswoman, studied visual communication in Wiesbaden with a focus on drawing and sculpture, dealt with the performative expressive possibilities of the body and worked as art director.

Grosch and Rausch met in 1996 and have been working together as an artist duo ever since. Their conceptual works are characterized by a media cross-over. They realise conceptual participatory and cross-media projects as well as artistic research, interventions and (participatory) installations in public space.

431art has realized numerous interdisciplinary, participatory projects and exhibitions in Germany and abroad, has works in public collections (e.g. Public Library New York, Victoria and Albert Museum London, Klingspor Museum Offenbach) and has received numerous grants and awards, including for her long-term project botanoadopt®. Her works are shown at international conferences, e.g. Ruhr 2010, DRHA London 2010, ISEA Istanbul 2011, SPVH Museum of Modern Art Zagreb 2013. Exhibitions and performances have been shown at museums such as Museum of Modern Art Zagreb, Croatia; Museum of Modern Art Sittard, NL; Kunstmuseum Mühlheim/Ruhr, Germany; Klingspor Museum Offenbach Germany; muu Gallery Helsinki, Finland; documenta Halle Kassel, Germany. 431art also works in public space and realizes artistic expeditions, audio walks, interventions and performances."
