Elena comes from a background of psychology and human-computer interaction, and has worked in research and industry UX positions. Her interests lie in understanding how users interact with mixed-initiative creative systems, and the extent to which this experience is affected by the involvement of the system. Casual creators provide a unique opportunity to study the implications of certain design patterns not found in many other systems, and Elena is fascinated by understanding the user’s needs in these interactions, and how we can optimise design to facilitate these needs.
