Mattia Butta was born in Lombardy in 1980, and obtained a MSc in Electrical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano in 2005 and a PhD at the Czech Technical University in Prague in 2010. Mattia Butta later worked at Kyushu University dealing with low noise magnetic sensors from 2010 to 2012. Since 2012 Mattia Butta is back at the Czech Technical Univesity in Prague where he became associate professor in 2017. Prof. Butta also worked one year, in 2019, at the Institute of material science of Madrid, Spain. Preferred pronouns: "their royal highnesses"
