SHORT BIO
Lena Blackmon (they/she) is a recent graduate from Stanford University in Applied and Engineering Physics. As a researcher, Lena primarily investigates how undergraduate and graduate physics students generate meaning between mathematical operations, expressions, and physical phenomena. Lena has also collaborated to investigate what factors, in addition to prior preparation gaps, affect performance of underrepresented minority students in introductory physics.
