SHORT BIO
Dr. Duane Deardorff is a physics professor at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he specializes in assessing students’ understanding of physics and developing curricula to enhance students’ understanding. He has presented numerous talks on physics education, assessment, physics lab innovations, and the development and implementation of integrated lecture/laboratory courses. His research interests include laboratory performance assessment, students’ treatment of measurement uncertainty, and improvement of physics teacher training.
