After receiving my Ph. D from Yale in 1985, I began my now 35 year career of teaching physics, doing research and writing several books. I instituted Vassar College's Physics Teacher Certification program by working with the Education Department. I am an active member of AAPT, and have brought students to many regional and national meetings. I received the AAPT 2017 David Halliday and Robert Resnick Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Physics Teaching. My most notable book which won an award is A Tour of the Subatomic Zoo - A Guide to Particle Physics - now in the third edition.
