SHORT BIO
Jesse Kirkpatrick is a third-year medical student at Harvard Medical School. He completed his PhD in the lab of Dr. Sangeeta Bhatia at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, during which he developed nanotechnology-based methods to enable the early detection of lung cancer. As a medical student, he is applying these tools to cholangiocarcinoma, while also developing in vitro models to study primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). In his free time, Jesse serves as a board member of PSC Partners Seeking a Cure and enjoys competitive ballroom dancing.
