SHORT BIO

Dr. Cullen Soares graduated summa cum laude from St. Edward's University, Austin, Texas. He obtained his medical degree from Texas A&M University in College Station and Round Rock, Texas. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital, in Providence, Rhode Island. He is currently a third-year co-chief fellow in the University of Maryland Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.

Dr. Soares has also been involved with several research projects including HIV and cardiovascular disease, anticoagulation in LVAD patients, and echocardiography on the first genetically modified porcine-to-human xenotransplant at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Dr. Soares is interested in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology and is currently interviewing for a position this application cycle.
