My colleague Rebecca Bolen and myself, Sana Khan, are second year students at Rocky Vista University, School of Osteopathic Medicine. We are passionate about dermatology and highlighting issues of importance in the field. Through our preclinical education we noticed a lack of diversity in skin tone representation and wanted to raise awareness about this. We hope to do so through our research project and to contribute in shifting current norms in medical education.
