SHORT BIO
I learned from an early age that there is profound fulfillment in serving others, even when it comes through personal sacrifice. The memories I have helping my sick grandfather to the bathroom can never be replaced by the pick-up games I missed outside, and the sleep that I lost every Saturday night can never be more valuable than the relationships I formed caring for the homeless and hungry. Although I learn something new about myself and about the world with every interaction, I find that each of these experiences reinforce the personal realization that only through service I can live a meaningful and fulfilling life. Medicine is a career in which I know that I can fully utilize all my talents and skills to take advantage of the opportunities that will present themselves to me. Over my experiences in the medical world, I witnessed firsthand how physicians prevented, treated, and diagnosed diseases. I saw physicians who were educators, researchers, scientists, philanthropists, and clergy all giving back to their communities in their own unique way. I wish to utilize these diverse avenues in the future and help as many people as possible in as many ways as I can.
