Anita Cheung was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Sociology. She later earned her master's degree in Public Health, focusing on Epidemiology & Biostatistics and Health Policy from the Milken Institute School of Public Health. She is now a second-year medical student at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. As a medical student, she is highly involved in research and is passionate about health disparities research.
