My name is Natalie Velez and I am a second year medical student at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX. I graduated from Clemson University, where I studied biology and psychology. I was very involved with the ClemsonLIFE program, a developmental program for students with cognitive disabilities. ClemsonLIFE, combined with seven years volunteering at a summer camp for individuals with special needs, has fueled my passion for working with those with disabilities as well as my interest in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Beyond research and medicine, I enjoy running and am currently training for a half marathon.
