Having initially trained and worked as an English teacher, Phil swiftly made the decision to alter course, changing career to follow a life of excitement and high adventure in Librarianship. Phil has worked at the University Library at Coventry for 16 years, the last nine of which as University Librarian. Prior to Coventry, he held a number of roles at Durham University Library, most significantly as an accidental Systems Librarian. In common with most professional Librarians, Phil’s home bookshelves are a model of disorganisation.
