SHORT BIO
Timothy Verstraeten graduated as BSc in Computer Science at the University of Antwerp in 2013, and as MSc in Computer Science with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2015. Currently, he is a PhD student at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
His PhD project focuses on the application of reinforcement learning in wind farm control, exploiting fleet-wide data exchange and loosely-coupled coordination among wind turbines to speed up the control learning process.
His research topics include reinforcement learning, multi-armed bandits, transfer learning and Gaussian processes.
