Victoria Freedman, PhD was trained as an immunologist and currently is the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, NY). She has developed and coordinated a comprehensive approach to the recruitment, retention, and success of underrepresented students in PhD, MD-PhD, PREP and Summer Research programs. She is Director of the PhD program, SURP and PREP and is developing new MS programs to prepare underrepresented students for research careers. She has presented workshops at numerous national meetings for underrepresented students and works with the AAMC-GREAT Group and other organizations on outreach and professional development activities.
