Alice Churukian is a Teaching Associate Professor in the department of Physics and Astronomy at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has been instrumental in the transformation of both introductory physics sequences into a student-centered, active-learning format and oversees their day-to-day operations as Team Leader. In addition, she was a major participant in the development and implementation of the fast-track high school science teacher preparation program, UNC Baccalaureate Education is Science and Teaching (UNC-BEST) and continues to be the department liaison to the program.
