SHORT BIO
Hello, my name is MacKenzie Lenz. I earned my B.S. in physics in 2014, Masters in physics in 2018, and Doctorate in 2020 from Oregon State University (OSU). I am currently a post doctorate researcher at the University of Utah. I currently am studying graduate education reform and studied physics sensemaking while at OSU. I was a teaching assistant at OSU for eight years, teaching a wide range of labs, studios, and recitations. Along with being a TA at OSU I was a part time instructor at the local community college, Linn Benton Community College (LBCC), for four years. I created and ran the Graduate Student Committee in my third-year of graduate school. I was also the president of the OSU Physicists for Inclusion in Science (PhIS) Club for two years. Along with these groups I regularly plan and attend community outreach activities.
