SHORT BIO
Dr Silvia Buratti is a neonatal and pediatric intensivist working at Gaslini Children's Hospital in Genoa, Italy. Dr Buratti earned her medical degree at University of Pavia, Italy. She completed the residency in Pediatrics at University of California, San Diego, followed by a residency in Anesthesia and Intensive Care at University of Genoa, Italy. She is now enrolled in a PhD program in Neurosciences at University of Genoa.
Since May 2012 Dr Buratti works as consultant in the Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at IRCCS Istituto Giannina Gaslini, in Genoa. The unit is a IV-level ICU taking care of all medical and surgical pathologies in the neonatal and pediatric age and one of the major referral centers for critical pathologies in Northern Italy (Critical Care and ECMO Transport Team). Her clinical activity is focused on neurointensive care and congenital conditions, in particular, neurovascular, surgical and cardiovascular diseases.
