I am a PhD student of Linguistics at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. My backgroud is in Computational Linguistics. As a Southern Kurdish speaker, I am especially interested in exploring approaches to create language resources for low-resource languages. My ultimate goal is to help make sure that everyone can enjoy the benefits of language technology, no matter what language they speak.
