SHORT BIO
"I have been a lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Amherst since Fall 2015. While my Ph.D. is in experimental high-energy physics, I have been focused on physics education since 2013. Interests:
- Team-Based Learning (TBL)
- Introductory Physics for Life-Science Students (IPLS)
- Open-Education Resources (OER)
- Exposing graduate and undergraduate physics students to scholarship of education
- Exploring disciplinary cultural differences as perceived by both instructors and students.
- Leveraging these differences as a vehicle for discussing and promoting equity and inclusion in science and society.
- Researching classroom techniques and pedagogies for their impact on equity. Current emphases on self-efficacy, attitude, and classroom engagement."
