Marty Baylor earned her BA in physics at Kenyon College. She then taught middle and high school physics at the Maret School before working as an optical engineer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. She earned a PhD in physics and then completed a postdoc in electrical engineering at CU-Boulder. She is currently an associate professor of physics at Carleton College.
