Ali is a research staff member at IBM Research. He is a leading researcher for IBM’s Qiskit quantum computing tools and cloud access to IBM’s prototype machines. He has contributed to many optimizations in the qiskit compiler as well as quantum computer architecture design. He also contributed to the IBM OpenPulse project, the first programming interface to manipulate quantum computers at the analog pulse level.
