SHORT BIO
Lucas Monteiro Paes is an AI researcher and mathematician whose work bridges theory and practical machine learning algorithms. He’s currently an Applied Mathematics Ph.D. candidate at Harvard University, where he develops safe, transparent, and fair AI systems. Lucas was a Student Researcher at Google DeepMind and an AI Research Scientist Intern at IBM Research’s T.J. Watson Center. Lucas' research is supported by the 2024 Apple Scholars in AI/ML Fellowship.
