I am part of the Knowledge Graph Lab at the Databases and Artificial Intelligence Group of the Technical University of Vienna. My research concentrates on the intersection of sub-symbolic machine learning models and symbolic AI with a particular focus on scalable, efficient, and explainable methods for knowledge graph completion, spanning topics of knowledge graph embeddings, graph neural networks, optimization theory, semantic web technologies, data management, and query answering. During my research projects, I collaborated with our industrial partner, the Central Bank of Italy, and academic partners, including the University of Bergen, the University of Oslo, the Institute of Statistical Mathematics in Tokyo, the Cardiff University, the University of Oxford, and the Universidad de Talca. As my interests are very diverse, I have produced publications in top-tier machine learning (ICLR), database (VLDB), and natural language processing venues (NAACL).
