SHORT BIO
Dr. Zhang is a researcher at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development, Boston College. Her research focuses on developing and examining innovative approaches to broaden participation in AI education. Currently she serves as a co-PI of a NSF funded project entitled “Everyday AI for Youth”, a project focuses on preparing middle school teachers for offering AI education in classrooms. Previously she served as a co-PI of a NSF funded project called "Developing AI Literacy Interventions to Teach Fundamental Concepts in AI”, which focused on developing and pilot testing an age-appropriate AI curriculum for middle school aged youth by interweaving technical concepts, ethics, and career futures of AI.
